What should we bring?
Our
atmosphere is casual with an emphasis on Western. Remember
a warm jacket for cool desert nights and a swimming suit
for the spa and pool. You'll need good tennis shoes or hiking
boots for the hiking trail. We sell water bottles if you
don't want to bring one. Layering clothing provides for
temperature changes.
For
horseback riding you'll need jeans or riding pants and boots
with a smooth sole and heel. We recommend long sleeves and
a western hat or helmet and a pair of gloves. (We provide
loaner helmets, hats and boots.) Some
of our guests suggest wearing an extra layer between jeans
and skin. Tights, pantyhose, long underwear or lycra shorts
may protect you from chaffing.
Directions
from Phoenix airport: To get to the ranch from the Car Rental Facility at the Phoenix airport, exit the check out booth and take the ramp all the way up to the traffic light and make a left. Go to the next light which is Buckeye and make a right. Approximately 1 block on the right hand side will be the entrance to I-17 North toward Flagstaff. If you do not come from the Car Rental Facility, use the 24th Street Exit to get on I-10 West (toward Los Angeles). Take I-10 West to I-17 North toward Flagstaff. Once on I-17, go north 30 miles to Hwy 74 (Carefree Highway) and exit left (west) toward Wickenburg. Go 25 miles to Highway 60 and turn right toward Wickenburg (10 miles). At the light in town turn right and take US 89/93 for two miles. Just past Mile Marker 198 you’ll see our large sign on right side of highway. Turn right at sign onto Rincon Road. Veer left at Kay El Bar Sign (with arrow) and road goes to ranch.
Where
is The Ranch? We are 5 minutes from Wickenburg, 1
hour and 15 minutes from Prescott or the Phoenix airport,
2 hours from Sedona 2.5 hours from Flagstaff, 4 hours from
the Grand Canyon and 4 hours from Las Vegas.
