Up high in the blue desert sky you may see such predator birds as the red-tailed hawk or turkey vultures, and don’t be surprised if a small group of Gamble Quail crosses your path. The nearby terrain features a variety of cacti, including the incredible giant saguaro (pronounced sah-WAR- oh), prickly pear, barrel, and jumping cholla (CHOY-yuh).
